Yet more "Zentangle" type designs.
I have just found out that the name
"Zentangle" has been copy-righted
by Rick and Maria .. apologies if I
have misused it, I thought it was a
general term for a doodled design!!

These are my Frangles .. made up by me
without reference to their site ...
which I have never visited.
The four ATCs are Christmas, Easter,
Halloween and Harvest based designs.
The other five are try-out for Christmas
cards.

Can't seem to get away from these Zentangles!!
This is my LO for the Colour My World Art Journal/CJ.
It's for Pange, in Brown, Cream and Gold. All hand drawn
and using two colours of gold and three browns. I'm hoping the watercolour paper can be the cream!!

This is the next stage of our Take Ten CJ ... based
on old fashioned Theatre Posters.
Mine was a play by Augustus Thomas - Arizona.
The LOs are digi with a little Glossy Accents on
the conchos to make them stand out a bit and
a couple of extra leyers on the poster to make it look
worn and aged.

Three more, this time based on Indian type patterns.
Hand, Paisley and Hefalump.

Boy, are these zenty thingys addictive!!!
These are three more that are based on Mucha ..
again these can be traded ... with my take on the
patterns and a rather feeble attempt at faces!!

Received a gorgeous ATC from Alipeeps .. a zenty Visage .. a face surrounded by super patterns ... it reminded me of Mucha, so I got out my book and these three ladies are the result. The blue one is a compliment to the fishy one .. whales and dolphins. They are for trade.

I have been experimenting with zentangles ... hadn't a clue what they were or how to do them, so I looked at lots of sites, got totally hooked, and these ATCs are the result!!! These are for trading, so anyone on UKS who has an opinion as to whether they are good enough to trade .. please let me know!

Not very "Arty" really, but certainly not digi either!! This is my take on the first verse of The Highwayman for Emma (Cosmic). I hope she likes my attempt. I think, seeing it here, I may darken the writing a bit .. it looks a bit anaemic for such an heroic tale.

OK, this is the latest LO for the Colour My World CJ .. made for Cathu .. Aqua. I have fallen under the spell of Art Journals and the "Zen" thingy, so this is a sort of zentangle . It is meant to have styalized nets, clams, fish, bubbles, anemones, aquamarine gems and rain!!! All the silly things that came to mind when all I could associate with aqua was water! I hope my fellow cjers approve.

These are my latest efforts for our Art Journal/CJ.
This time they are for Hellosister and her theme ..
obviously .. is Green.
I used liquid watercolours for the background, alcohol
inks and some markers for the drawing and words and
tinted some gel medium to give a bit of shine. (doesn't the
gel take aaages to dry completely!!). The black/white/gold
tag is the "sign-in" page in the colours I chose for my cj.

This is the latest LO for our e-mail cj ... from Plumtree's original.

This is the next entry in the "Colour My World"
art journal/CJ. It is for JaneH and is based on "autumn" colours
of red, yellow, orange and burnt browns.
I drew the face, figure and leaves; used watered down acrylics as the background and - because I didn't have any tinted glaze - added some alcohol inks to gel medium for a slightly glossy transparent look. I hope it's OK.

I have been rather lax in uploading these .. just realised I have three that were just sitting in the file!!! All of these are my versions of the LOs Liz sends me ... Just a Bit Closer is the April one, Family Day Out? is May and this month's is Water Reigns.

There was another place available in the swap ... so these
are my second set for "Midsummer Night Dreams" .. with
the emphasis on Dreams.
Again the piccies are from the web .. with wings added by me
and backgrounds from ACA_Iridescence, Nicecrane Designs_
Gothic papers, and two kits from Stacey Mann - Designer at
Digitals .... Surreality and Not Your Mother's Papers (!!)

I joined this months "Tag" swap , theme Midsummer Night's Dream",
and these are my six .. made digi and then printed out to
attach to ready cut tags. I hope my fellow swapees like them.
The main designs are all from copyright free art work (where the copyright has expired) and the backgrounds are from a
very old kit from Dedicated2Digital called Inner Storm ... I think it is discontinued now ... all of them either contrast enhanced or colour changed to blend.

This is a new adventure for me .. an Art journal/CJ. I am not used to the "freedom" in styles and application that an Art Journal uses but I am going to give it a go and see what happens!! I hope I don't let my fellow arties down.
The welcome page speaks for itself.. a printed and collaged scroll with vermicelli and doodling all round; The mainly white page has cut out papers and figures with doodled flourishes and "spots"; he black one .. a pair of stamped legs and some cut out borders together with squiggles and diaper patterns.

These two gorgeous jiggies are the ones made for me by my fellow jiggers ...the silvery one's theme is Metallic .. reading from left to right, top to bottom they are .... megbaby, T-Ann, me,sixofone,paddy,crafty barbie, material girl, scrappy dandy doo and Xmasbaby; the gold one is based on a Klimt painting .. dusty fairy, Ginger66, me, pip, mel81pop, nettyb, kikimama23, sabulous and Terris Chocolat. Thank you all ... I LURVE THEM.

Celtic Tags

These are my attempts at Celtic Tags for a swap on UKS. I don't have any stamps that could even remotely be called Celtic, and being a digi scrapper, I don't have much "stash" to use as embellishments, so I fell back on hand drawn ... except the horse and riders which were line printed (I'm useless at people!!) .. motifs which I then coloured with aqua-pencils and brushed through. Once finished I hated them .. they were on a white background .. so they have been scanned onto the compy and printed onto a parchment type card. You can still see some of the brushmarks though .. just to prove that I did draw these!!!

These are the finished pieces, made into the jigsaw shape so that I can see if they fit!!
Group 1 has the masks in the top corner, Group 3 has the gloved hand applying bright pink lipstick!!

Another round of our e-mail cj ... Typical is the "lift" done by Liz. Pretend is my version of hers!!

Last three ... just the backs to do and the complete set is finished!!
